On October 15, 2009 The Parents Circle - Bereaved Families Forum marked the
International peace day for the fourth year by awarding a "Sign of
Reconciliation" insignia to two peace activists, in appreciation of their
special contribution to understanding and reconciliation between Israel and
Palestine.
This year the award was given to Eric
Yellin and Other Voice and to Issam Amin Dabai the founder and manager of the
Palestinian Popular Committees. Israeli and Palestinian bereaved families
awarded Other Voice the Sign of Reconciliation insignia for its work to promote
dialog and non-violence.
